Architectural Excellence

Faced with the problems caused by COVID-19, our client asked us to create a private passenger air terminal in order to comply with social distancing and sanitary regulations. Its main clients are the top executives of the mining companies. Tecno Fast delivered a leasing solution of 25 modules of 6.0 x 2.5 meters, equaling to a total architectural floor plan of 375 m2 with Split-type air conditioning equipment. It includes four bathrooms and two universally accessible bathrooms. Mostly open plan, it also includes a private space of 30 m2 for coffee breaks, at the request of the client. The client also requested for the design to consider large spaces illuminated with vast amounts of natural light. The advantages of our modular solution are to provide a quality, private, and spacious space so that the users can comfortably wait before boarding their plane.

Technical Innovation & Sustainability

The logistics of positioning the Aviasur modules was complicated, because the modules had to be positioned with a boom truck given that below the project was a parking lot concrete slab with unknown resistance. This caused added time considerations to the maneuvering and assembly of the modules to ensure the project’s safe execution. A special aluzinc coating was considered for the external finish, which considers pieces and profiles which are easily adapted to the client’s needs and were installed on site without affecting our assembly schedule. The electrical assembly was installed in the interior with perimeter trays, autonomous smoke sensors and general panels in the rooms. In addition, the air conditioning was installed on site, given the dimensions of the external condensers. Special floor to ceiling windows were considered, 2.05 meters in height and with variable widths. Finally, the passenger access door was adapted to connect with the airport hangar corridor.

Cost Effectiveness

The Aviasur modular solution is in lease format, which provides versatility for the client, without the need for large investments. Once returned, these units will be reused by our Rental fleet, for various programs such as offices, multipurpose rooms, salerooms, habitation, etc. All the main structures will be modified into individual modules or as parts of larger spaces such as multipurpose rooms.
