Hyundai Engineering America, Inc. needed onsite office space for their new Electric Vehicle and Battery Plant that was being constructed in Ellabell, GA, just outside of Savannah. GA. The project required 45,000 square feet of office space to be delivered and installed to satisfy their entire site engineering team. The space was to be delivered and installed over a four-phase process to multiple groups quickly and concurrently. The buildings had to be of high-quality and have a modern, professional look. Hyundai also needed the buildings to have maximum occupancy capabilities and allow for last minute interior layout changes to accommodate Hyundai leadership needs. Willscot Mobile Mini was able to provide a 280, one-story FLEX building solution between all four phases of the project.in 3.5 months. The building included private offices, large breakrooms, high visibility windows and entrance steps.

Technical Innovation & Sustainability

One of the requirements for onsite office space was to provide a high-quality, temporary office space that could endure the Georgia weather and support occupant individuality and preferences. To fulfill this requirement, we delivered a FLEX modular building solution that is made of non-combustible and relocatable panelized walls, to provide greater weather durability and configuration options. Special features went into this temporary building solution, including interior light sensors, individual office heat and air conditioning, high ascetic interior walls and pre-wired data installation, to meet the client site requirements and needs.

Cost Effectiveness

The FLEX building solution that was helped Hyundai Engineering America, Inc. reduce their utility costs with cost saving features such as LED light fixtures and sensors. Also, with relocatable metal wall panels, exterior window panels and exterior door panels, FLEX provided additional configuration options to the client while keeping labor and relocation costs at a minimum. Overall, FLEX construction methods involve the utilization of prefabricated materials and quick and efficient assembly, which greatly reduces material waste and labor costs.
