  1. Architectural Excellence
    THIS PROJECT WAS CHALLENGING IN SEVERAL WAYS, BUT NEVERTHELESS VERY EXCITING. THE MAIN AIM WAS TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE BY FINDING EFFECTIVE AND PRACTICAL SOLUTION TO OVERCOME THE BARRIERS IMPLIED WHEN BUILDING ON A LAND WITH A MOUNTAINNOUS TOPOGRAPHY AS WELL AS BUILDING ON A DETERMINED SPECE FRAME SUCH AS PLATAFORMS. IS WAS ALSO ESSENTIAL TO FIND THE OPTIMUM COMPROMISE BETWEEN THE CLIENT´S SPECIFICATIONS AND THE BUILDING REGULATIONS THAT APPLY IN CHILE. AS A RESULT, THE BUILDING NOR ONLY MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED ABOVE, BUT OFFERS ADDITIONAL SOLUTIONS TO MAXIMIZE THE USE OF NATURAL LIGHT AND SURROUNDING VIEWS ALSO, TO MINIMIZE THE EXPOSURE TO THE ELEMENTS SUCH AS HUMIDITY, DRASTIC WEATHER OSCILLATIONS AND LACK OF NATURAL LIGTH. ALL OF THIS WAS CONSIDERED TO AVOID DAMEGE TO THE QUALITY OF THE BUILDING AND PURPOSE USE. CONSEQUENTLY, THE BUILDING WAS BUILT MAINLY ON HIGH LEVELLED AREAS AND FACING NORTH, LEAVING THE SERVICE AREAS FACING SOUTH.
  2. Technical Innovation & Sustainability
    THE REDUCE EXPOSURE OF THE EXTERNAL SIDES OF THE BUILDING TO THE ELEMENTS AND TO MAXIMIZE THE USE OF THE BUILDING AREA AVAILABLE ON THE PLATFORMS, A BUILDING UNIT WAS DESIGNED FOR MULTIPURPOSE USE SUCH AS AN ADMINISTRATION ROOM, FIRST AID ROOM AND LEISURE ROOM POR THE EMPLOYEES.
  3. Cost Effectiveness
    THE PROJECT WAS DESIGNED THE COST EFFECTIVENESS WHENEVER POSSIBLE. IT WAS BUILT PARTIALLY BY USING RECYCLED MODULES, CONSIDERING ALL THE NECESSARY HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES TO ENSURE THE SUITABILITY TO COPE WITH INAUSPICIOUS WATHER CONDITIONS SUCH AS SNOW STORMS AND THE EXTRA WEIGHT THAT IT CAN ADD TO AL THE STRUCTURES IN GENERAL. THE WATHER CONDITIONS ALSO IMPACTED THE DECISION-MEKING PROCESS WHEN DECIDING ON THE HEIGHT, THE MATRIALS AND THE IMPLEMENTATIONS OF EXTRA STRUCTURAL SUPPORT AS IT CAN BE OBSERVED IN THE DINING BUILDING AND THE INSERTION OF ADDITIONAL METAL FRAMES WITHIN THOSE MODULES MADE OF WOOD. OFFICE BUILDING: 100% NEW METAL STRUTURE - DORMITORY PAVILION:50%RECYCLED MODULES WITH WOODEN STRUTURE AND BATHROOM MODULES WITH NEW METAL STRUCTURE-MULTIPURPOSE BUILDING(ADMINISTRATION/FIRST AID/LEISURE ROOM):100% RECYCLED MODULES WITH STEEL STRUCTURE-DINING BUILDING:100% RECYCLED MODULES WITH WOODEN STRUCTURES AND ADDITIONL STRUTURALSUPPORT.

    THE PROJECT WAS DESIGNED CONSIDERING THE COST EFFECTIVENESS WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
