Tours Offer Architects Interactive Lessons worth AIA Credit. The Downing Corporation Shows Architects How a Modular Airport Terminal Takes Shape

ANSI Sound Discussions Held. Classroom Acoustics Panel Talks about Portable Classroom Challenges

During the Modular Building Institute's 24th Annual Convention, a panel of experts debated the merits of the ANSI S12.60 Classroom Acoustic Standard, along with the challenges in applying the standard to the portable classroom industry. This was an historic panel discussion resulting in positive discussions toward ongoing acoustic issues.

On Par for Excellence 2006: MBI Convention Reaches New Heights of Success
For over 20 years, MBI has produced for the commercial modular construction industry the very biggest and best event possible: its annual convention and tradeshow. The event hosts more than 400 attendees and exhibitors at some of the world's most prestigious resorts while providing access to celebrity speakers, top-notch educational sessions, new products showcase, the latest trends in modular construction, and a variety of networking opportunities. The 2006 convention concluded just two weeks ago in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

This is Modular? Best In Show Winners Announced

Every year, the Modular Building Institute sponsors the industry's premiere awards program, the MBI Awards of Distinction, recognizing the best in commercial modular building design and construction. The 2006 contest received 112 unique entries with temporary and permanent buildings as diverse as a 55 sq.ft. ticket-sales kiosk to a 400,000 sq.ft. public school complex. Corporate marketing piece entries included websites, multimedia presentations, and literature.
