Modular Building Institute Educational Foundation Awards Scholarships

Charlottesville, VA - The Modular Building Institute (MBI), the international, non-profit trade association representing commercial modular construction providers, also administers an educational foundation. The MBI Educational Foundation (MBIEF) is the only organization established specifically to provide educational opportunities in the form of training and scholarships for individuals with an interest in commercial modular construction.

The MBIEF scholarships are available annually to any member employee or an immediate family member. In 2007, MBI received over 20 qualified applications for the scholarship and chose three winners. Each winner is an outstanding student and is also involved in extracurricular, as well as community-oriented, activities. Congratulations to Devin Gonzales, Jeremiah Hunley, and Austin Youmans, future students of University of Texas at Austin, Purdue University, and Oregon State University, respectively.

"We are thrilled to have received so many outstanding applicants for the MBIEF scholarship," said Tom Hardiman, executive director of MBI. "We went through a very detailed evaluation process and we are confident these three winners will continue a career of excellence while working toward their bachelor's degrees."

About MBI
Founded in 1983, the Modular Building Institute is the only, international, non-profit trade association serving non-residential modular construction. Our regular membership includes wholesale manufacturers, direct manufacturers, and dealers of commercial modular buildings, while our associate members are companies supplying building components, services, and financing to the industry. It is MBI's mission to grow the industry and its capabilities by encouraging innovation, quality, and professionalism through communication, education, and recognition. MBI also administers an educational foundation. For more information, visit modular.org.
